So was intrigued when I found a recipe in the Salt'n Pepper Village cookbook that completely omitted tomatoes. I know how much you guys love the Chicken Karhai recipe I posted a while ago, and so now I present to you, a spin-off on the traditional version!

- First you chop onion and tomato in chopper..
- In pan heat oil add onion and fry till light golden brown then add ginger garlic paste and cook 2 min then add qeema and fry till light Brown.aw.
- Add tomato and 1/2 cup water and cook at least 30min..when water is evaporated add all spices and cook for 15 min..
- Jab oil upar ajay then add methi and adrak and cook for 5 min on low flame.now garnish with Hara dhania,haree mirch and adrak..
- Taty beef KARHAI QEEMA ready...... Enjoy with raita and Nan..
This version is spicy, smoky, and very very yummy. The ground beef can be subbed with minced chicken too, if big animals eek you out. Bring to a boil, then allow to simmer. Make sure the onions are finely chopped to get the authentic indian qeema taste. You can substitute the garlic and ginger that goes in the qeema with garlic and ginger paste - but trust me the flavor will not be the same.
